    Job Description for Construction Manager:

    Our Client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Manager to join their team! The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day onsite construction management, ensuring project success, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a positive client experience.

    Key Responsibilities for Construction Manager:

    • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure project success.
    • Enforce safety standards and maintain a healthy working environment for all site personnel.
    • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and plans.
    • Coordinate critical work items and logistics for jobsite mobilization and demobilization.
    • Review and approve daily work tickets and maintain onsite activity logs.
    • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and consultants.
    • Manage project costs, scope changes, and close-out activities.
    • Review contracts, submittals, and installation documents for compliance.
    • Resolve subcontractor disputes and address client concerns promptly.
    • Identify and address potential issues, minimize waste, and cut unnecessary costs.
    • Maintain organization and cleanliness onsite.
    • Provide leadership, support, and training to field personnel.

    Requirements for Construction Manager:

    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, OR equivalent work experience preferred.
    • 4+ years of experience in leadership roles in construction, field management, or project management.
    • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
    • Knowledge of construction management processes, commercial building, and OSHA standards.
    • Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time upon landing non-local projects.  Some projects will be local but some require traveling to/from on a regular basis if elsewhere in the Midwest Region or beyond.
