POSITION SUMMARY - Truck loaders prepare merchandise for transport by loading it onto pallets and moving it between trucks and warehouses.

CURRENTLY AVAILABLE SHIFT: 2nd shift: 2pm - 10:30pm Mon - Fri

Truck Loaders are responsible for:

• Verifying shipment contents: Checking the contents of a shipment from the warehouse
• Scanning cargo: Scanning the cargo
• Updating inventory: Updating inventory counts
• Bundling shipments: Bundling shipments together before loading
• Checking route schedules: Checking route schedules and orders for accuracy when a vehicle arrives or departs the warehouse
• General warehouse maintenance: Performing general warehouse maintenance
• Truck loaders often use overhead cranes, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to sort and move packages.
• Carry heavy boxes between the truck bed and loading dock.
  

Some qualifications and requirements for truck loaders include:

• A high school diploma or GED certificate
• Experience using Forklifts
• Experience using Overhead Cranes (dual hoist)
• The ability to stand, squat, and bend for extended periods
• The ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Reliable transportation
