Local Kansas City Civil Engineering firm has an immediate opening for a Civil Project Engineer or Designer with experience being technically involved with municipal, commercial and subdivision land development design projects. Position requires experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Civil Storm and HEC-RAS experience a plus.

Responsibilities may include:

• Planning
• Design
• Calculations
• Preparation of construction documents
• Estimating quantities & construction costs
• Construction phase services
• Reports & studies
• Permit applications

Applicant must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment, be self-motivated and customer service oriented. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills is a necessity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current PE license or ability to sit for the exam in next 12 months
• B.S. in Civil Engineering

Acceptable Qualifications:

• Associated in CAD and/or Design-related degree
• 3+ years of Civil Design experience; site development, highway/roadway, grading, drainage
