Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Engineering CAD Technician works closely with a team of design engineers to develop structural, bridge, roadway, drainage, or civil drawings to meet and exceed client expectations. They also collaborate with the surveying department on various projects. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

1. Works collaboratively with staff, clients, sub-consultants, and government agencies. 

2. Able to interpret and develop detailed drawings from sketches and mark-ups provided by professional civil engineers 

3. Understands the requirements of initial designs and prepare AutoCAD representations for civil engineering projects 

4. Familiar with civil engineering design calculations 

5. Interprets and adheres to land development codes and roadway design standards 

6. Works according to project deadlines to help make sure they are met

REQUIREMENTS

1. Associates or technical degree with courses in civil engineering technology / AutoCAD 

2. AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency 

3. Microsoft Office proficiency 

4. Civil engineering design experience (preferred)
