  • Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL PURPOSE: To process and pay bills to vendors, in order to provide timely and accurate financial information to executive management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - To follow all specified procedures to satisfactorily perform routine Accounts Payable tasks, including processing purchase orders; preparing documentation of checks for signature; handling and tracking invoices; maintaining and updating contract files; handling and tracking expense reports and travel advances; preparing weekly check runs; generating outstanding check lists; balancing statements; and maintaining the vendor master. - To respond in a professional and timely manner to vendor and departmental inquiries regarding payment status of invoices. - To follow all specified procedures to accurately prepare month-end Accounts Payable accruals, and the reversal for the following month. - To follow all specified procedures to accurately produce annual 1099's. - To prepare analytical reports and forecasts, as requested. - To understand and respond to all customer needs and requests in a timely and professional manner. - To distribute the incoming mail and deposit any checks received per specified procedures. - To follow all policies and procedures of JC Resorts LLC. - To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions. - To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times. - To practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others. - To comply with company and departmental safety rules and regulations, including the proper handling of all relevant equipment. - To attend all mandatory meetings as directed. - To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed. JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: One year experience in basic accounting function or relevant degree preferred. English fluency required. Must know ten key by touch, and be familiar with routine office procedures. Must be computer literate. Must display knowledge of currently accepted business phone etiquette. Trustworthy and reliable. Must be able to work to deadlines. WORKING CONDITIONS: Works indoors throughout shift in temperature-controlled, clean, and well-lighted office. Bi-level structures. Extensive facility. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stands/walks approximately 20% of shift. Sits at desk or in meetings approximately 80% of shift. Uses personal computer approximately 70% of shift. Moderate to heavy use of phones, daily. Frequent use of stairs, daily. Occasionally required to handle and move objects weighing up to 40 lbs. over short distances. Requires extensive reading and computation. IMPACT OF DECISION: Decisions directly impact customer relations, bottom line profitability, and the ability to control cash flow. Poor decisions may result in customer dissatisfaction and loss of revenues, due to lack of follow through, inaccurate or inefficient work, unsafe work practices, or improperly handled customer service situations. NON-EXEMPT POSITION: Non-exempt employees are subject to the wage and hour laws and entitled to overtime pay. Non-exempt employees who work overtime without prior approval are subject to disciplinary action, including termination.
