    Requirements:

    • U.S Citizenship is required. • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance. • This position is currently hybrid (on-site/remote). Candidate will be required to work on-site three days a week at minimum.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in strategic communications, with a focus on supporting government agencies or large organizations within the aviation or technology sectors.

    • Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms, including email and web content management systems. • Ability to apply a deep understanding of strategic communication principles to technical concepts that translates into accessible and compelling messaging. • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a track record of producing high-quality communication materials for diverse audiences and channels. • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally. • Strategic thinking abilities, with a demonstrated track record of developing and executing communication plans that support organizational objectives. • Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms, including email and web content management systems. • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. • Knowledge of government communication protocols and best practices, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide expertise in communications planning and execution, including copywriting, to support the strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Office of Information & Technology (AIT). • Lead AIT's external communications program designed to strengthen AIT's reputation within the FAA as the agency's reliable and responsive IT Shared Services provider and raise awareness of the business value AIT delivers to the FAA through collaborative and innovative IT solutions. • Develop and execute tactical communications to support core services, new products and enterprise initiatives through general awareness and targeted messaging, leveraging numerous FAA web-based communications channels. • Lead AIT's internal communications program designed to inform and engage AIT employees while helping them understand the organization and how they fit into it. Produce AIT's monthly employee newsletter, and spearhead AIT's employee engagement activities including Town Hall meetings and lunch & learn sessions. • Collaborate closely with senior leadership and subject matter experts to distill complex technical information into clear, engaging, and actionable messaging for various stakeholders. • Utilize Agile program management best practices to rapidly design, develop, test, and implement innovative solutions, including new web-based communication tools, to solve complex challenges. • Provide management consulting support to AIT leadership for multi-year strategy development, business process improvement, and organizational change management.
