  • Responsibilities

    JCDS is seeking a SharePoint Specialist with demonstrated experience in SharePoint deployment and usage, including taxonomies, templates, master pages and security management. In this role, the ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment as they work closely with users and stakeholders to understand the existing environment and identify and implement SharePoint solutions best designed to meet requirements and opportunities.

    This associate-level, full-time position is in Washington, DC. (Please note: due to COVID-19, this position will be in a telework status until social distancing recommendations are no longer in effect.) This is an immediate hire position.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS.

    • 3 to 7 years of SharePoint experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology.
    • Experience supporting large Cabinet-level federal agencies, ideally the Department of Veterans Affairs.
    • Ability to work onsite in Washington, D.C.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
    • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

    JOB DUTIES.

    • Understand the Office of Regulatory and Administrations collaboration, workflow, data and document management requirements and opportunities.
    • Work closely with users and stakeholders to analyze and determine detailed business requirements as they relate to SharePoint solution opportunities.
    • Determine the most effective SharePoint solution architecture and taxonomies to address identified business requirements and maximize search capability.
    • Review existing SharePoint infrastructure and solutions. Identify and address any architectural deficiencies.
    • Set SharePoint development project schedules, manage stakeholder expectations and provide timely communications and reporting.
    • Lead development and deployment of SharePoint solutions to meet identified requirements, engaging and managing developer resources as required.
    • Provide expert user support and guidance, as required. Deliver user training and documentation, as required.
