    Systems Administrator – Aurora, CO

    Position Overview:

    • Resolve software and related problems associated on Windows
    • Coordinate hardware maintenance and repairs with vendors
    • Install OS, firmware, and application patches, updates and tech bulletins in the production environment
    • Assist Compliance and Security administrators with related tasks as required
    • Assist administrators to maintain the environment as required
    • This position will support, monitor and maintain an IT infrastructure consisting of Windows Enterprise servers. Job duties include supporting over 30 production servers and 300 client computers in a LAN/WAN environment. You will be a member of a Network Operations Team in Aurora, CO.

    Qualifications & Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related area
    • Must have three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in maintaining and supporting a Microsoft environment
    • Required certifications:
      • Must have active/valid Sec+CE (or higher IAT level certification)
      • Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs
    • Skilled in Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016
    • Demonstrated knowledge with Windows Servers, Server Operations, Server applications, etc.
    • Demonstrated knowledge with both physical and virtualized servers, especially VMware
    • Strong record of completed projects across various computing platforms.
    • Functional knowledge of network topologies.
    • Demonstrated knowledge with TCP/IP, DNS, 802.1x, and DHCP protocols
    • Skilled in Server hardware troubleshooting and configuration

    Preferred Additional Skills:

    • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2016 in a clustered environment
    • Demonstrated competencies with Networked Attached Storage
    • Commitment to continual development of technical skillsets and knowledge sharing
    • Experience and knowledge of Cisco, network devices, firewalls and routers, etc.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
    • Demonstrated competencies with Windows 7, Windows 10, and associated software
    • Must be customer service oriented
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
    • Must be able to respond to system outages during off-hours

    Responsibilities: 

    • Install, configure, update, and maintain Microsoft (MS) Windows servers in a large, complex environment
    • Managing servers and upgrades. Manage GPOs and Active Directory structure. Handle data collection and reporting.
    • Implement complex hardware deployments, software upgrades, and significant operational initiatives
    • Work with vendors to isolate and resolve hardware problems to include component replacement
    • Addresses and rectifies server problems, works with Microsoft or other vendors as necessary
    • Maintain and upgrade automated scripts for application products to facilitate operational tasks
    • Monitor system capacity (CPU, memory, ports, disk space, etc.) and take appropriate action to report and correct any issues
    • Plan, deploy, and document new servers, printers, devices, and services
    • Assist in planning and deployment of disaster recovery procedures
    • Ensure that external and internal regulations and policies governing data management are met, including regulations concerning security, audit readiness, and privacy
    • Organize and prioritize IT related activities.
    • Understanding of setup/use/troubleshooting of software deployment and support of Maintenance Windows
    • Work with team and security auditors for regular ATOs and CRRIs.
