    Job Title: Engineering Estimator

    Summary:
    We're on the lookout for a skilled Engineering Estimator to play a pivotal role in our team. Your main responsibility will be to develop accurate and timely quotes utilizing inputs from our factory and suppliers, helping us secure new business opportunities. In this fast-paced environment, you'll need to be adaptable and ready to tackle tasks ranging from the routine to the intricate. Project management skills will be essential as you navigate multiple inputs and deadlines.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Review Request for Quotes or Proposals, utilizing customer-provided data to develop Bills of Materials and engineering/manufacturing routers.
    • Collaborate with purchasing and suppliers to obtain material, process, and manufacturing costs.
    • Evaluate supplier quotations and estimate in-house manufacturing hours and tooling requirements.
    • Compute lead times based on various factors, ensuring realistic project timelines.
    • Work closely with customers to provide cost-effective estimates and justify pricing.
    • Maintain and update estimates module in ERP system, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
    • Attend customer calls and visits as needed to support the estimation process.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost engineering/estimating or manufacturing engineering in aerospace contract manufacturing.
    • Technical sales experience preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, and sheet metal forming.
    • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and industry specifications.
    • Familiarity with CAD software such as Solidworks and AutoCAD.
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word, with knowledge of MRP and ERP systems.

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to perform essential job functions, including sitting, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 20lbs.
    • Specific vision abilities required, including close vision and depth perception.
    • Some travel may be required to support customer interactions.
