INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN

Here is an exciting opportunity to be a crucial part of America’s second-largest sugarbeet refiner, Amalgamated Sugar Co. We are currently looking to hire an Instrumentation Technician who is ready to channel their technical expertise towards the smooth and efficient operation of our plant. As part of our team, you will be instrumental in transforming humble sugarbeets into the finest sugar. What You'll Be Doing:
- Installing, maintaining, and calibrating a variety of instrumentation devices such as valves, analytical instrumentation, level, temperature, pressure, and flow devices, as well as static and continuous weighing systems.
- Bringing your analytical skills to the forefront by troubleshooting individual devices and comprehending their overall impact on the process.
- Spearheading new installations, including setting up instruments, running conduit, wiring panels, understanding and interpreting electrical and P&ID blueprints, as well as executing initial setup procedures.
- Upholding our high safety standards by diligently complying with all approved safety policies and procedures.
- Serving as a vital link between our team, engineers, plant management, and external vendors through open and effective collaboration.
- Being adaptable to work a rotating shift schedule, which may include holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in the installation, maintenance, and calibration of various instrumentation devices.
- Proficiency in understanding the impact of each device on the overall process.
- In-depth knowledge and ability to perform new installations and interpret electrical and P&ID blueprints.
- Strong adherence to and respect for safety policies and procedures.
- Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule.
- Physical capability to lift 75 lbs., stand for up to 10 hours a day, and work in fluctuating outdoor temperatures.

Salary:
