    Our world-class client is looking for that next IMPACT player to lead their 150 person plant to the next level. The company has stable growth plans in place and need a leader with impeccable team building and Continuous Improvement Success in their background to help them get to the next level. Have you ever been called a change agent? That is what is needed.

    The ideal Plant Manager will lead, develop and manage all operations for this 150 person plus manufacturing facility.

    Having experience in heavy equipment, specialty vehicle, RV, Bus, Hoist and Crane, Heavy Chassis, Custom Trailer, Agricultural Vehicle, Mining or Construction equipment or even Aerospace Structural plant experience will provide you the experience needed to manufacture custom build, much slower process time type of experience.

    High volume automotive experience will not do well in this type of environment.

    The company will depend on you to bring a history of Lean Manufacturing implementation as well as success to this plant and make a good plant even better.

    The key points that will set the ideal Plant Manager apart from all other applicants will be the ability to show previous success with major productivity gains, cost-cutting and ideally the ability to develop and mentor their team in order for them to grow with the company as well.

    The key responsibilities for the Plant Manager will be to lead, mentor and develop all facility personnel to capitalize on all plant capabilities.

    The Plant Manager will be expected to get your team engaged daily by providing instruction to maximize plant effectiveness.

    You will be the key player to optimize the use of all resources within the plant efficiently by coordinating all departments involved.

    You are counted on to be a Safety Champion and incorporate this approach to the DNA of the plant and focus on the safety of all plant personnel.

    Continuous improvement is a daily focus and not something that is done every now and then. 5S, Lean Manufacturing as well as Six Sigma experience will be helpful.

    You must be an "on the floor type leader" and mold your staff to the company culture and key objectives.

    Drive continual Quality product improvements.

    Work with Senior Management to meet and exceed all company goals and objectives.

    Key Requirements for the Plant Manager:

    4 year College Degree
    MBA is helpful
    7 plus years of increasing responsibility within a manufacturing plant.
    5 plus years of leadership expertise
    Experience with Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Safety
    Strong team building experience
    Continuous improvement tools Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S
    Industry experience with welding-fabrication-assembly-hot cutting and paint is preferred.
    Lean Manufacturing implementation experience is preferred.

     

    Salary range will be 120k-130k with a 10-15 percent bonus.
