PURCHASING MANAGER

We are currently looking for a detail oriented and entrepreneurial Purchasing Manager. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing materials and placing purchase orders in support of Contract Jobs and service operations.   The ideal candidate will be personable, ambitious, and demonstrate the ability to think critically and self-manage. 

In addition, this role is responsible for the following tasks within the purchasing department:

• Negotiate prices and terms with vendors as well as manufacturer and vendor programs
• Manage Purchasing, oversee the warehouse team and inventory including transfers from warehouse to truck stock.
• Manage timing and logistics of material deliveries to support all jobs, projects, and service commitments.
• Purchase order creation.
• Track and expedite orders.
• Coordinate material returns.
• Walk in and retail customer support including meeting with customers to aid in selection and ordering
• Arrange and participate in vendor training and technical support for outside sales force and technicians
• Support of AP resolving shipping and billing errors with vendors.

This position requires strong attention to detail. Excellent computer skills, Excel, and Word are required. Flexibility to learn new computer systems and processes is key. Adaptable to changing routines and tasks. Responsiveness to customers and business partners is a must.

JOB TYPE: Full-time

PAY: Competitive based on education and experience.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in a HVAC, plumbing contracting, or a service company is required.
