    Job Description The GEC books groups, tours, parties and special events via computer using Party Central software. The GEC answers incoming calls in a timely and professional manner. Operates IPCWare point of sale (POS) functions and the LEADS system. These assignments include but are not limited to: year-over-year call backs, sales prospecting and written correspondence/proposal generation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Books groups, tours and special events via telephone. Books birthday parties via telephone. Handles some YOY call backs Maintains pleasant, professional relationships with JIPC guests, business contacts, fellow Team Members, JIPC supervisors and managers and Support Center Management. Daily follows JIPC policies and procedures to ensure guest interaction exceeds expectations. Answers incoming calls facilitating guest requests, event bookings and taking and relaying thorough messages to the field when necessary. Assists guests by explaining available group and party packages, walk-in party procedures as well as any questions about our stores. Checks availability of requested dates and times for parties and events via Party Central software. Enters new inquiries into the LEADS system. Conducts bookings, cancellations, receipt and refunds of party deposits via use of Party Central software. Thoroughly explains party contract, obtaining appropriate initialing and signature. Communicates requests of a special nature (I.e. Lock-ins or Fusion/Retreat room bookings) to Director of Sales & Marketing prior to booking. Takes direction from Guest Services Manager and follows such in a timely manner with a can-do attitude. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each essential duty to the satisfaction of JIPC standards. Must be over the age of 16. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. COMPUTER SKILLS General knowledge of computers including word processing, scheduling and spreadsheet applications. Able to use JIPC proprietary software, after training, for time clock, Point of sale system LEADS system and Party Central operations. (Training will be provided) LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups, guests, Team Members and managers of the JIPC organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, sales tax, percentages and cash register balancing. Ability to count back change. REASONING ABILITY Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. These situations may involve Team Members and guests. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled form. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, Team Member is regularly required to interact with general public, other Team Members and children of various ages. The Team Member will be sitting, standing, walking, using hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Team Members are occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Team Members are regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, a Team Member may be exposed to water, food, paper debris, loud music, horns, bells, whistles, and other noise projected by various amusements and recreation equipment operating at JIPC. At times a Team Member may be exposed to outside weather conditions.
