Location: Chambersburg, PA

Working Hours: 4pm-2am Monday to Thursday - Overtime as Required

5am-5pm Friday to Sunday - No Mandatory Overtime

SUMMARY

This opening is accountable for operating welding equipment to construct top-notch parts, subassemblies, and finished stock. Weldments differ in kind, size, and direction while being executed on a range of production lines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The job entails the following general responsibilities:

1. Pass the Assembly Welder Qualification test and renew skills as per program guidelines

2. Safely operate an overhead crane to move parts into position for proper weldments.

3. Configure welder to correct settings to ensure quality and precision of needed weldments

4. Heat and manipulate metal parts and components with hand tools, torch, or welding equipment

5. Weld parts in flat and vertical positions.

6. Accurately operate and interpret measuring tools.

7. Assemble and weld various metal parts according to blueprints.

8. Pay attention to detail to adhere to quality standards.

9. Complete any other assigned duties and responsibilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• One (1) year or more of related experience

• Pass internal welder certification test and renew skills as required.

• Ability to read and understand blueprints.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Welding Certification from an educational institution

• One or more years of welding experience in a manufacturing industry
