    WE ARE JUSTICE AND SUSTAINABILITY ASSOCIATES (JSA)!

    An innovative, complex, and endlessly engaging company where we focus on using alternative dispute and conflict resolution techniques to build consensus and stakeholder agreements. Our niche is to use these techniques in public policy, civic engagement and organizational development processes related to achieving sustainable community development, environmental justice, and smart growth.

    JSA GRADUATE INTERN PROGRAM

    We are looking for energetic individuals to assist us with providing administrative support to our project leaders. You'll have an opportunity to learn and gain insight into JSA's mission driven work in Transportation & Infrastructure, Planning & Development, Sustainability & Resilience, Organizational Development, Open Space & Recreation, Governance and History & Conciliation,

    UNDER DIRECTION OF THE PROJECT LEADER, YOU WILL PERFORM A VARIETY OF ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS THAT MAY INCLUDE:

    • Scheduling meetings
    • Providing technical support for virtual meetings
    • Preparing presentations
    • Planning and logistics
    • Notetaking at meetings
    • Making phone calls
    • Posting on social media
    • Performing research
    • Other tasks as assigned

    YOU WILL..

    • Gain practical experience with varied alternative dispute and conflict resolution related activities.
    • Receive shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with experienced and accomplished professionals
    • Have an opportunity to attend client and stakeholder meetings.

    GRADUATE PROFILE

    • Full-time graduate student
    • Critical and analytical thinking and planning skills are a must.
    • Excellent writing skills and the ability to identify themes while notetaking during various client or community engagement meetings
    • Must be organized and be able to take direction.
    • Must be able to pivot seamlessly when project directions change.
    • Must be able to conduct internet research quickly and efficiently as it relates to community demographics and other data.
    • Strong administrative and logistic skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people
    • Able to work at least ten (10) hours per week

    GRADUATES WHO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING TECHNICAL SKILLS WILL HAVE AN ADVANTAGE:

    • Advanced knowledge of Zoom/Zoom hosting

    • Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint or similar program such as Canva

    • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite, e.g., Outlook, Word, SharePoint, etc.

    • In addition to this excellent training opportunity, we will pay you an allowance of $20.00 per hour to cover your expenses and if you are the extraordinary person we are looking for, you will get an excellent career growth in JSA.
