    THE OPPORTUNITY: ONSITE OPPORTUNITY IN OUR SANTA ANA OFFICE

    JMAC Lending is seeking a talented DESKTOP SUPPORT SPECIALIST to provide desktop support, assist with systems administrator duties and release technology to our team members. You will be the first point of contact on our IT infrastructure help desk and will play a critical role in ensuring users are securely and effectively utilizing technology including Office 365 (including Teams and Sharepoint) and RingCentral. We are looking for a person who is customer service oriented and technically talented to help users better adopt technology.     YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

    RESOLVE DESKTOP SUPPORT INCIDENTS

    • Support customer inbound requests through phone, self-service and other channels as developed by Service Desk.
    • Provide accurate and creative solutions to customer problems to ensure quick restoration of customer productivity. If the issue cannot be resolved within a certain timeframe, proper escalation is crucial.
    • Acquire and maintain current knowledge of relevant environments (software and hardware) and support policies to provide accurate solutions to customers.
    • Assist in the developing and maintaining of a problem resolution knowledgebase.
    • Assist in maintaining Help Desk e-mail, by reading, opening/documenting information into tracking tickets and escalating to proper person or department.

    PROVISION DESKTOPS AND TRAIN EMPLOYEES

    • Provision and deprovision employee IT hardware and applications.
    • Provide end-user training on IT applications, including, but not limited to: O365 apps, Outlook, Confluence, Asana, RingCentral, Adobe, and other basic computer-related skills.

    SERVER MAINTENANCE AND MONITORING

    • Monitor backup jobs, ensures all servers and systems are backed up, as well as resolving any errors with backup jobs as they come up.
    • Grant access rights and create file structures and directories.
    • Demonstrate a high level of integrity and prudent use of administrative rights.

    MAINTAIN AND MONITOR IT EQUIPMENT

    • Deploy hardware refreshes and software upgrades and ensure users are transitioned effectively.
    • Ensure all IT equipment is asset tagged and keep track of asset tag inventory list.
    • Work with vendors for copier and printer hardware issues, toner ordering, and computer hardware replacements.
    • Perform preventative maintenance for workstations, printers, and peripherals.
    • Install network printers, network peripherals and appliances.
    • Assist with procurement of IT equipment and services.
    • Manage IT equipment inventory to ensure availability with expected staffing.
    • Administration of applications such as RingCentral, Active Directory, Mimecast and Office 365.
    • Complete projects tasks and duties assigned by IT management.
    • Create and update documentation for help desk and IT processes.

    YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or 1+ year experience in IT Service Support experience in software, desktop, or systems administration.
    • Demonstrated track record of offering excellent customer service over the phone.
    • Work efficiently and reliably in unsupervised and varying environments.
    • Expert troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to solve technical issues.
    • An affinity for providing exceptional customer service and continuous improvement.
    • Excellent communication (both oral and written), documentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Desire to grow in IT field and learn new applications and practices.
    • 1+ year networking experience is preferred.
    • COMPTIA A+ CERTIFICATION PREFERRED.
