PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The position ensures the smooth transportation of routine products through the transportation channel by managing individual shipments in transit, selecting standard shipping methods, collecting and processing delivery and documentation items, processing Inbound Extra Charge (IEC) and Claims via email, phone and personal contact with logistics colleagues, business partners, internal partners, and customers.
- Proactively manage all aspects of the assigned Direct Ship accounts
- Provide support to Internal Customers (DS and Finance) and external service providers (SSL and Trucker) in regards to all aspects of the accounts payable
- Research information to provide accurate and timely solutions to matter related to Inbound extra charge (IEC) including receiving, auditing, collecting PDF invoice and payment processing
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and confirm that correct account codes or charges types are used.
- Upload IEC into SAP and work closely with accounting department to ensure billing accuracy to generate payment to vendors on a timely manner
- Develop and Maintain accurate files and financial records according to company standards.
- Monitor account balances, track expenses, and prepare analysis on a weekly/monthly basis
- Under managerial supervision coordinate special projects and ancillary services
REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor or equivalent degree of experience.
- Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has the ability to work under time pressures
- Excellent verbal and written communication and has the ability to handle multiple priorities without losing details
- Experience in SAP, and High level of expertise with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc)
- High level of accuracy and efficiency. Detail Oriented. Works on problems of limited and routine scope where limited analysis of data requires identification of predetermined solutions.
- General knowledge of logistics operations from factory to the customer distribution center
- Can work with minimum supervision.
