    A Successful Janitorial Day Porter

    Helps to keep our customer locations clean, safe, and looking their best throughout the day. This position combines cleaning and customer service.

    Successful day porters are dependable, work well independently, communicate clearly, and take pride in doing quality work.

    If you enjoy staying busy, solving problems, and helping customers, you'll be a great fit for this role.

    Schedule

    Multiple Day Time Schedules Available

    Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM

    Job Responsibilities

    • Clean and maintain assigned areas, including offices, common areas, restrooms, and entryways.
    • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash and recycling.
    • Clean and restock restrooms throughout the day.
    • Check assigned areas regularly and address cleaning needs as they arise.
    • Respond to customer requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
    • Communicate with the manager regarding completed work, customer concerns, or site issues.
    • Follow company policies and safety procedures at all times.
    • Represent JNS professionally when interacting with customers, tenants, and visitors.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform routine cleaning tasks.
    • Ability to work indoors and outdoors when needed.

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Reliable transportation.
    • Good attendance and punctuality.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Professional attitude and appearance.
    • Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile applications for work-related tasks.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience.
    • Previous Day Porter experience.
    • Customer service experience.
