YRD, LLC. is a consumer goods company that specializes in hardlines/durable goods which are marketed and sold on/in home shopping television networks, large retail chains and e-commerce. Our product range spans multiple categories – garden, beauty, cleaning, kitchen, auto and many more. We directly manage and handle the complete product life cycle from the initial design to prototyping all the way through the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will take responsibility for their own products and timelines associated with development. Please note that we are looking for someone who designs and makes hard goods; someone who has experience with and creates their own products. Although having experience in web design could be a plus, we’re not looking for someone who exclusively designs and creates web sites.

    Key Responsibilities / Contributions

Design the product concept and analyze whether or not the product could be a solution.

Develop and create a minimum viable product (MVP), an initial version that has only enough function to meet its customer's purpose.

Identify and reach out to new manufacturers (primarily in China; United States, and Mexico) with a goal of vetting the manufacturer and initiating cost negotiations

Analyze and identify manufacturing timelines and goals to ensure timely delivery

Ability to effectively communicate with manufacturer’s engineers to monitor product completion with the ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and developing creative solutions in order to meet delivery deadlines

Create detailed documents to communicate features and product status to all stakeholders.

Ongoing product modifications and feedback to continue growth with the product roadmap setting new strategic goals for the product.

Work skills, education and previous experience:
