Job Title: Contracts Associate Director

Clearance: US DoD SECRET Clearance (ability to obtain a TS security clearance)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Contracts Associate Director with extensive Department of Defense contracts expertise to lead and manage a team of Contracts professionals. The successful candidate will oversee all contract management activities, including proposal support, negotiation, post-award administration, change management, and closeout. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures while fostering strong relationships with our customers and partners.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a small contracts team
Manage team performance to ensure compliance with regulations and corporate policies
Oversee contracts of high complexity across multiple contract types
Support program offices with proposal development and negotiation
Interpret contract requirements, assess risks, and propose mitigations
Negotiate contracts and business-to-business agreements
Identify areas for process improvement and implement updates
Develop and apply solutions to complex problems
Foster effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Guide and mentor direct reports in contract management principles
Develop and implement effective training plans
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of Department of Defense contracts experience
5+ years of prior leadership experience
Deep understanding of FAR, DFARS, and intellectual property rules
Ability to develop and execute negotiation strategies
Exceptional writing skills and ability to produce accurate work products under pressure
Experience with full life-cycle contract management of various contract types
Strong oral and written communication skills
Familiarity with financial terms and metrics
Experience working within a matrixed organization
US DoD SECRET Clearance (ability to obtain TS clearance)
BA/BS required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Earned Value Management Systems
Advanced degree (MBA, Juris Doctor, etc.)
U.S. DoD Top Secret clearance
Professional Certifications (e.g., CFCM, CPCM, etc.)
Experience leading process change and transformation initiatives
Familiarity with production programs
