    Construction Manager - Substation (Dallas & Houston)

    Alternative Power Generation, Inc. is seeking highly motivated and experienced Construction Managers to join our growing team in Dallas and Houston, Texas. This is a super urgent hire and we are offering a competitive salary and benefits package for the right candidate.

    About the Role:

    As a Construction Manager, you will play a key role in the successful completion of substation construction projects. You will oversee all aspects of construction, from managing crews and subcontractors to ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety protocols. You will also be responsible for reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings, ensuring quality control, and maintaining detailed project documentation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and oversee all aspects of substation construction, including civil, structural, and electrical components
    • Review and interpret engineering drawings (substation electrical, civil, and structural)
    • Manage and collaborate with crews and subcontractors
    • Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety protocols
    • Implement and maintain a comprehensive Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program
    • Prepare and maintain daily reports, safety documentation, and other project records
    • Identify and resolve construction issues proactively

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in substation construction management
    • Proven experience managing and overseeing electrical and high voltage equipment
    • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Experience with QA/QC procedures in a construction environment
    • A valid driver's license
    • OSHA 30 certification a plus (we can provide training)
    • Electrical license a plus (not required)
