    Position Title: Of Counsel - Corporate Governance
    Location: Washington DC or New York City
    Travel: None

    Salary Range: $450,000 - $485,000.

    Our Client is a Top Tier International law firm with offices in Washington, D.C. and New York City. Our Client serves a diverse clientele ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to emerging startups.

    Our Client's corporate governance practice is soaring and is highly regarded for its depth of expertise and proactive approach to addressing complex regulatory issues.


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide expert advice on corporate governance matters to clients
    • Interpret and apply securities laws, stock exchange corporate governance standards, and proxy advisory firm policies
    • Draft and review bylaws, governance policies, and codes of conduct
    • Stay abreast of developments in corporate governance best practices and regulations.

     

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Sole practitioners will not work, and candidates must have big national firm experience

     

    Qualifications:

    • JD from an accredited law school
    • Admission to the bar in Washington, D.C., or New York, or have the ability to waive in
    • 8 or more years of experience in corporate governance, in a major law firm setting
    • Strong understanding of securities laws, corporate governance principles, proxy advisory, codes of conduct, securities and stock exchange issues and practices
    • Excellent writing and research skills
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

     

    Compensation and Benefits:

    Annual compensation range: $450,000 - $485,000.
    Salary offered within the range will be commensurate with qualifications and other operational considerations.
