    The Construction Quality Engineering will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and adjusting a construction, material production, and offsite fabrication QA/QC program and to coordinate with the Quality Manager and Design Quality Manager to ensure that the elements of the Quality Management Program are complied with during construction activities.

    Responsibilities:

    Monitor and inspect construction processes and materials to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.

    Take necessary action as may be required to prevent installation of material which has not been properly approved for use.

    Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address all defective or otherwise unacceptable work and/or material and recommend if further installation of defective work or material be suspended until satisfactory corrections are made to address quality issues.

    Submit daily quality assurance reports to management, indicating the status of activities, and detailing any non-conformance and deficiencies identified.

    Ensure adherence to safety and environmental policies.

    Oversee the implementation, inspection and maintenance of all erosion and sediment control measures specified in the design documents and in the approved Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and ascertain that remediation/repair measures are implemented within the time limit required under the State Pollution Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) General Permit.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction or project management, transportation, or a related field.

    Hold a valid New York State Professional Engineer license.

    Prior quality experience with MTA-related construction projects

    Has NICET or other recognized certification and at least 5 years of relevant construction inspection experience or equivalent experience.

    OSHA-30 certification

    Has demonstrated quality experience in construction projects.
