DME Medicare Revenue Cycle Specialist
Job Description
Overview: JQ Medical Supply, a leading provider of durable medical equipment with a focus on diabetic equipment and supplies, is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented DME Medicare Revenue Cycle Specialist. This role is essential for managing all aspects of billing and compliance with Medicare regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Medicare billing processes and a keen eye for accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
· Review and submit claims for durable medical equipment to Medicare.
· Ensure compliance with current Medicare guidelines and regulations.
· Analyze and resolve billing and reimbursement discrepancies.
· Work closely with patients and Medicare to ensure accurate billing information.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in Medicare policies and procedures.
· Review patient accounts and records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
· Communicate effectively with patients and Medicare to address any billing concerns.
· Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
· Provide detailed reports on billing activities and discrepancies.
· Assist in training staff on Medicare billing procedures and updates.
· Perform other duties related to RCM as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
· 2+ years of experience in DME billing, specifically with Medicare.
· In-depth knowledge of Medicare regulations and requirements.
· Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
· Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Travel: Minimal travel, 5%-10%.
