    Job Purpose and Impact

    The Manufacturing Plant General Manager (GM) is the site champion leading the team to achieve the companies vision of being a best-in-class diversified chemical manufacturer. The GM leads the site team on the foundation of the companies core values. This role is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction and management of the manufacturing site. The GM has direct leadership of the site’s Safety & Security, Environmental, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Engineering teams. The site is provided human resource, procurement and accounting services. As the site’s leader, this person effectively partners with and fully utilizes these services and creates a “One Team” environment focused on creating the greatest value for the site and company. The GM is accountable for meeting plant safety, environmental, product quality, plant availability and cost commitments. It is expected that all site personnel work free from injury and in full compliance with all applicable rules and regulations. To meet this expectation, the GM will serve the team as a relentless advocate of the companies Vision, Core Values and Cardinal Rules. The GM own and optimizes the sites business plan effectively collaborating with the commercial, finance, and manufacturing capabilities team as “One Team”. Ultimately, the GM is accountable for providing quality product meeting customer expectations without harm to personnel, the communicate and the environment.

    Provide the community with a safe, clean, and stable economic generator.

    Leading a “One Team” culture that focuses on “Protecting What Matters”, “Making It Better” and “Practicing Integrity Without Compromise”.

    The sites talent position and organization health are robust and a strategic advantage for Companies.

    Managing, optimizing, and communicating the sites business plan in collaboration with Companies Commercial, Finance and Manufacturing Teams.

    Develop learning relationships between the other manufacturing sites, Companies personnel and third parties.

    Effectively managing a fence line OSHA 1910.119 Process Safety Management program.

    All products are manufactured within agency polices and permits.

    Financial management effectively drives a safe, compliant, productive, and efficient manufacturing complex.

    Management and business processes are transparent to all personnel with visible metrics and supporting the organization in driving excellent results.

    Established methodologies are used to drive improvement. These methodologies include Strategic Work Design, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

     

    All products leaving the site meet the expectations of the customer.

     

    Qualifications Minimum: 

    7-10 years’ experience &currently leading a chemical manufacturing complex that was covered by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)29 CFR 1910.119, Process Safety Management of Highly Hazardous Chemicals.

    5 years of supervisory and direct management/leadership experience (influencing, coaching, managing through others, developing diverse work teams).

    5 years of owning the financial performance of a manufacturing complex/

    Proven track record using Continuous Improvement Practices to improve processes, reduce waste, errors and down times.

    Transparent and positive track record developing, leading and coaching high performing teams.

    Proficiency in utilizing the current Microsoft suite of products and Enterprise Management System.

     

    Qualifications Preferred:

    Successful experience as the site leader producing anhydrous ammonia, Urea, Nitric Acid, Sulfuric and providing specialty blends of these products to customers.

    Completed an advance education in Chemical Engineering field of study.

    Six Sigma Certified (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.)

    Experience in the Gulf Region
