Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. As a Personal Injury Paralegal, you will work closely with attorneys to provide support in all aspects of personal injury cases, from initial client intake to case resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct client interviews and intake assessments to gather relevant information regarding personal injury claims.
- Assist attorneys in drafting and filing legal documents, including complaints, pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Organize and maintain case files, including medical records, police reports, and correspondence.
- Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and mediations.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries and memoranda.
- Assist in the preparation of trial materials, exhibits, and witness lists.
- Prepare settlement demand packages and negotiate settlement agreements under the direction of attorneys.
- Provide administrative support, such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and answering phone calls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
- years of experience working as a paralegal in personal injury law.
- Proficiency in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of state and federal court procedures and rules of civil procedure.
