    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The successful candidate will provide Operational Logistics Support to support mission requirements at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD). Under general supervision, the candidate is responsible for the following:

    • Provide cost estimating, Integrated Program Management (IPM), and acquisition cost support to weapon systems
    • Conduct data collection research and analysis and analyze mission requirements to determine cost parameters, cost factors, and relationships to be utilized in constructing cost models
    • Build quantitative models to predict the future cost of weapon systems
    • Perform analysis to help customer leadership make informative decisions concerning cost analysis

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must be a U.S. citizen
    • Must have an active U.S. Security Clearance level Secret
    • BS/BA Degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent defense experience
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience directly related to formulating and applying mathematical modeling
    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience directly related with the utilization of Content Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, and/or Sharable Content Object Reference Model
    • Minimum of one (1) year experience developing and maintaining supply chain models, optimal time, cost, or logistics models, Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Modeling, Prediction, Allocation and Analysis for program evaluations, review, or implementation
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)

     

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BS/BA Degree in Science or Engineering in a relevant field or equivalent military logistics experience.
    • Demonstrated experience assessing program acquisition and sustainment strategies and determining appropriate logistic product support strategy
    • Demonstrated experience in the technical documentation life cycle development, distribution, and disposal
    • Demonstrated experience with the development, maintenance, and production of one or more of the following Logistic Program Management plans or presentations: Integrated Logistic Support Plan, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Interim Logistic Support Plans, DMSMS Management Plans, Supply Management Plans, Technical Bulletins, User Logistics Support Summaries, Program Review Technical Presentations
    • Experience using Integrated Development Environments (IDE) to develop or maintain logistic products

     

    SECURITY CLEARANCE:

    Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
