    Job Description

    Come Run with Sasquatch as an IT Infrastructure Intern during the summer of 2024 in our Support Center in Minneapolis, MN . This internship is a hybrid role with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

    As our intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through formal and informal training, building and supporting servers, networks, and security platforms, troubleshooting problems, attending events, networking with fellow interns, working with key Jack Link’s leaders and team members. At the completion of your internship, you will conduct a final presentation on your internship experience.

    As an IT Infrastructure Intern within Jack Link’s, you will work closely with the technology and business teams, gaining formal and information training.

    IT Infrastructure Technical responsibilities:

    • Gain an understanding of Infrastructure Engineering.
    • Overview of data Center and remote site design and operations.
    • Gain understanding of virtualization platforms such as VMware.
    • Learn how data protection works.
    • Gain experience with Disaster Recovery Strategies
    • Discover the power of hyperconverged technologies.
    • Gain understanding of network infrastructure both LAN and WAN
    • Gain Experience securing large production environments.
    • Create documentation to support a global Infrastructure.
    • Develop an understanding of Infrastructure as code.
    • Develop skills in project management and working with international partners.
    • Develop skills required to analyze, operate, and build production environments.

    IT Infrastructure Business responsibilities:

    • Attend meetings between business teams, IT Infrastructure, and help desk teams.
    • Identify and define business questions and associated infrastructure needs.
    • Partner with business team to create actionable infrastructure deliverables and insights leveraging an iterative approach.
    • Create documentation to support a global infrastructure.
    • Present IT Infrastructure deliverables to business partners for review and feedback
    • Final presentation to leadership team to recap experience.

    Qualifications

    Minimum requirements:

    • Academic focus in Information Technology with Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance
    • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
    • Team player with a “can do” attitude
    • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to work with an iterative and incremental IT environment
