    Job Description

    The Manager - Retail Solutions is a key contributor in retail merchandising strategy, in-store execution, and retail analytics. They will be responsible for identifying strategic merchandising opportunities for all retail channels, management of in-store reporting and measurement tools, creating compelling in-store merchandising vehicles, and developing retail execution strategies that lead to results with sales, the customer and consumer.

    The duties and responsibilities of this position shall consist or, but not be limited to, the following:

    • Develop and execute Jack Link’s annual strategic plan to grow our sales, market share, and overall leadership position in the category.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, supply chain, and finance, to ensure successful execution of sales strategies and achieve AOP objectives.
    • Manage the Link Snack’s Brands Merchandising Display process to continuously optimize the merchandising vehicle portfolio for design, production, and implementation in-market
    • Lead the development of the annual merchandising display vehicle guide with the partnership of sales, marketing and creative services that are bigger, bolder and innovative
    • Collaborate with Consumer/Business Insights and Channel/Customer Planning Leads to create compelling, timely, and high impact selling stories that support the execution of our Perfect Store Standards
    • Partner with Brand Marketing Leads on new item innovation to ensure alignment and executional excellence within Perfect Store Standards
    • Improve the Jack Link’s sales training programs to ensure ongoing alignment with Retail Solutions that meet the 5+ points of interruption
    • Partner with Customer/Channel Sales Leads and Brand Manager Segment Leads to ensure compliance to Perfect Store Standards that ends with execution at retail
    • Perform retail market visits to identify retailer solutions that can close potential opportunity gaps
    • Research new space opportunities at retail to increase strategic points of distribution and household penetration
    • Lead execution and reporting associated with In-Store Reporting Applications and Tools that drive meaningful, actionable insights
    • Development of strategic in-store testing plans with key customer partners in collaboration with the associated cross functional team members
    • Manage the collection, synthesis, and analysis of performance tracking data; make recommendations for improvement and to drive greater business impact
    • Partner with Channel/Customer Planning Leads to ensure alignment, execution, and customization for our key retail partners during annual planning sessions
    • Develop a critical understanding of brand, channel, and customer strategies across the Jack Link’s organization
    • Provide cross functional team members insights on key competitive strategies and execution in all applicable retail channels
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement and ensure execution of Perfect Store Standards across all channels
    • Develop and broadly implement industry-leading sales materials, insights, tools, and training that drive retail execution along Perfect Store Standards
    • Supporting cross functional partners through merchandising analysis and marketplace insight delivery
    • Drives the strategic development of this role, while finding opportunities for new types of analysis and collaborating to build the capabilities to support it
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or equivalent experience.
    • 3+ years of sales experience in consumer-packaged goods (CPG), with direct sales experience working with all classes of trade.
    • 3+ years of experience in working with cross functional teams including sales, marketing, purchasing and creative services, strong leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities by being proactive and results driven.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external customers and stakeholders.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Ability to travel nation-wide 5-10 days per year, subject to change.

    REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABLILITIES

    • Proven thorough understanding of the consumer products industry
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must work effectively with all levels of management and team members
    • Must demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, presentation, and employee motivational skills.
    • Proficient in Internet navigation, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
