    Title: Busser

    Reports to: Floor/Hospitality Manager

    Summary:

    Responsible for assisting service staff in providing quality food and beverage service to guests in a manner that exceeds the guests’ expectations. Maintains organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of tables, floor, service areas and equipment.

    Essential Functions:

    Communicates guests’ needs and requests to the assigned server immediately.

    Responsible for the complete bussing, cleaning and resetting of the tables.

    Assists in delivering food to tables.

    Assists in drink refills.

    Checks parking lot for trash and debris.

    Cleans booster and high chairs after each use.

    Empties trash in cans and maintains floor cleanliness.

    Frequently checks the restrooms for cleanliness and organization.

    Assists the bartender in keeping ice and glasses stocked.

    Assists other team members in completing their assigned duties and tasks.

    Knows store information (hours of operation, phone numbers, managers, location).

    Completes pre-shift set-up, running and post shift closing duties.

    Re-stocks and replenishes, essential items and supplies for the dining room.

    Continuously maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe and comfortable environment for our guests.

    Maintains and strictly abides by sanitation/health regulations.

    Adheres to appearance and uniform standards.

    Adheres to all restaurant standards, policies and procedures.

    In addition, other duties may be assigned as the needs arise.

    Education, Experience and Abilities

    Must be 16 years of age.Cannot be convicted of a felony.

    Ability to follow proper procedures when bussing, cleaning and resetting tables.

    Possess extremely strong organizational skills.

    Ability to multitask.

    Ability to follow directions thoroughly.

    Ability to carry heavy plates, trays of glassware and supplies.

    Ability to stand for long periods of time.

    Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

    Dress Code:

    Uniforms/clothing must be clean and neatly maintained at all times and should not create a safety hazard. If you come to work with a soiled, torn, wrinkled or faded uniform, you will be sent home for your shift. Management reserves the right to determine if an employee’s dress meets our expectations and properly represents our company. When you are wearing the Jack Stack uniform you are representing the company. Therefore employees must remain in FULL UNIFORM AT ALL TIMES while on company property, whether on or off the clock. This includes employees walking to or from their vehicles and while eating employee shift meals.

    Hair

    Men must be smoothly shaven.

    Any facial hair must be neatly trimmed and cannot exceed ½ inch in length.

    Hair must be pulled away from your face and off your shoulders.

    No extravagant clips or ties.

    Hair cannot be unnatural in color.

    Make-up

    Make-up must be worn in a moderate and conservative manner.

    Cologne, Perfume

    No perfume or cologne is allowed as this conflicts with the aroma of our remarkable barbecue!

    Tattoos

    Jack Stack permits employees to wear tattoos within the following guidelines

    Tattoos must be covered if they can be done so under the scope of an employee’s uniform.

    Tattoos cannot be offensive to co-workers, guests, vendors or others in the workplace based on racial, sexual, religious, ethnic, or other attributes of a sensitive or legally protected nature

    Management is the sole judge of what constitutes unacceptable tattoos.

    It is vital that employee’s present a professional appearance to the guests we serve

    If management determines an employee’s tattoos are deemed offensive or have a detrimental impact on business, then resolutions will be sought, such as covering of the tattoo or transfer of the employee to an alternative position.

    Accessories

    Earrings are allowed for women only, and only one earring may be worn in each ear.

    The earrings must be no larger than a quarter.

    All other piercings must be taken out while at work (including tongue rings).

    Clear studs may be worn on new piercings until they have properly healed.

    One ring per hand may be worn.

    No bracelets, visible chokers or necklaces are allowed

    NOTE: Employees prepping food or working around food prep areas also cannot wear rings (except for a plain band) or watches, as per health code

    Hygiene

    Employees are expected to practice good personal hygiene including wearing a good deodorant.

    Hands must be kept clean and carefully manicured at all times.

    No nail polish or artificial nails are allowed due to health code.
