REQUIRED SKILLS
1-2 years of agency public relations experience
Demonstrated success in securing media coverage (local, trade and/or national)
Relevant knowledge of local media, national news, and industry trends
Experience with and understanding of PR and marketing concepts and practices
Willingness to follow industry trends and current methods
Outstanding communication and writing skills and knowledge of AP Style
Working knowledge of social media
Excellent attention to detail, strong proofreading skills and ability to execute through to completion
Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field of work. B.A. in Communications or related field
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in local and national account teams, leading projects
Support national, regional, local and trade media relations efforts
Collaborate with creative team members on design and content production
Assist in development of PR campaign project plans
News monitoring and tracking
Conduct research
Participate in team brainstorms
Provide support for a broad range of activities including media relations, crisis management, PR releases and more
