    TEXAS LEGAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (FULL TIME)

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We're looking for a self-motivated, team player that excels in supporting others and does so with a strong degree of organizational skill and attention to detail. This position will execute on all administrative tasks in support of the Senior Partner of Van Wey, Metzler & Williams, PLLC, Kay Van Wey, including executive and personal support, business development, transaction management, and general office operations. This person will be a tech wiz, who can bring their insight to the table to help with efficiency and effectiveness.

    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide executive legal secretarial support directly to Kay Van Wey

    • Function with autonomy and work on special projects assigned

    • Handles complex activities (may be highly confidential and require discretion)

    • Performs research as directed

    • Interface and establish ongoing positive business relationship with clients

    • Communicate effectively on busy, multiple telephone lines

    • Type, format, edit and finalize documents

    • Compose routine letters and memoranda and prepare reports

    • Establish and maintain office files and records materials

    • Assist in the preparation of time-keeping, travel, expense reports and other records

    • Schedule and arrange meetings and conferences

    • Maintain a busy calendar while also scheduling with an eye towards sanity and balance

    • Be able to discern and use judgment concerning high level priorities that demand immediate attention versus things that can be scheduled at a later time

    • Be the eyes and ears

    • Be the voice

    • Manage a very busy e-mail in-box

    • Keep track of projects using Asana and other software

    • Keep track of and follow up on tasks assigned to others

    • Manage report and meeting sequences so that materials and reports are obtained/made available in advance of scheduled meetings

    • Make sure documents/information is readily available for meetings

    • Organize documents in a way that things can be easily found

    • Leverage technology to create efficiencies wherever possible

    • Other duties as assigned

    ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma required, College degree preferred
    • 3+ years in secretarial/assistant experience
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively, dispassionately and diplomatically
    • Must have advanced proficiency working in MS Word (formatting documents utilizing Styles), PowerPoint and Excel
    • Tech wiz
    • Excellent attendance, punctual
    • Intellectual curiosity and a drive to learn

    SALARY RANGE

    • $45,000-50,000 DOE + discretionary bonuses

    Must be willing to complete and DISC and hiring performance assessment.
