    About the Family Law Paralegal Position:

    Our Paralegals work alongside litigation counsel and a collaborative and supportive legal team to empower our clients as we work to help good fathers and their children build and maintain a strong relationship into the future despite their current family turmoil.

    As a member of our team, you are directly contributing to our clients' successful outcomes and futures. You will be expected to manage a full active caseload with the support of our awesome administrative team and other experienced attorneys.

    This position offers the flexibility to work from home and/or in our Hackensack office. Remote workers **MUST reside in New Jersey. **

    New Jersey Family Law Paralegal Responsibilities:

    • The candidate will be responsible for case work support including drafting of pleadings, monitoring of cases, case organization, client interaction and calendaring.

    • Provide legal support to the family law team by assisting with all aspects of litigation, including preparation and review of case documents.

    • DRAFTING applications to the Court (Notice of Motions, Client Certifications, Proposed form of Orders).

    • Heavy client contact.

    • Heavy email coordination.

    • Executes case strategy with other experienced attorneys, paralegals, clients and support staff.

    • Assist in filing motions for divorce or custody proceedings as needed.

    • Prepare court reports on behalf of clients.

    • Prepare discovery materials.

    • Maintain records necessary to file claims.

    • Tracking/entering individual billable time & that of attorney as required

    • Conduct other duties as assigned.

    • Maintain 30 billable hours per week.

    Family Law Paralegal Requirements:

    • Possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

    • 3+ years of experience working in Family Law.

    • Strong time management and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize work.

    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail.

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

    • Must be tech savvy.

    • Bachelor's Degree Preferred, or High School degree with additional professional experience.

    • Experience using firm software, project and case management programs (Office 365 Suite, Zoom, Easy Soft- software for child support guidelines and financial statements, ActionStep, Asana/Clickup, , Adobe, etc.)

    • Meticulous attention to detail.

    • Ability to draft motions and other legal documents. (actual drafting experience required).

    • Exceptional Writing abilities / Storyteller.

    • Exceptional written and verbal communication.

    • Exceptional fluency of the English language.

    • Being able to take the initiative and keep attorneys on track and focused.

    • Experience with time billing and exceeding KPIs.

    • $60,000-75,000 DOE
