    24 year established boutique law firm in Coral Gables concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation, debt settlement, landlord tenant law, seeks an experienced attorney to add to its growing team. Ideal candidate will have significant experience in litigation including drafting and reviewing complaints, interpreting contracts, drafting contracts, motion practice, legal research, pleading preparation, appearance in court both in person and by zoom, discovery, drafting summary judgment motions, responses and objections to summary judgment, coordinating hearings and communication with opposing counsel, drafting correspondence, communication with Chambers and judicial assistants. You will advocate for our clients, in a professional and empathetic manner. Candidate must have prior trial experience and be comfortable meeting with clients. Be able to manage a heavy caseload and use your general experience and interpersonal skills to manage files on your own to ensure a continued legacy of prosperity. Responsibilities: • Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs • Keep apprised of changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws • Prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses • Attend court hearings on behalf of clients and argue motions • Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts Qualifications: • Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills are desired, as are exceptional writing and verbal communication skills • Previous experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration • Bachelor’s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree) • Work independently while handling a heavy caseload • Member of state and local bar associations in good standing • 5 years of required experience as a senior associate in the legal field • Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish both written and verbal • Must have own roster of clients to bring to the firm Compensation: $125,000 - $150,000 yearly
