DEPENDING ON MULTIPLE FACTORS; INCLUDING FUNDING AND EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY FOR EXTENSION OF THE TASK OR A NEW TASK FOR SELECTED CANDIDATES. Jada Systems Inc in Pasadena CA is looking for a Scientific Applications Software Engineer with an active TS/SCI. The successful candidate will be part of a larger team developing, reviewing, testing, and modeling algorithms for simulations and analyses of imaging systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Working with a large systems engineering and analyses team to provide the necessary infrastructure, process, and software engineering discipline to enable the execution of large end-to-end analysis. • Supporting and running analyses using the above tools. • Interacting with customers regarding data and parameter sets, as well as interacting with analysts, developers, system engineers, external partners and the sponsor. • Assist in the ongoing software development, review, testing and maintenance of modeling algorithms for end-to-end simulation and analysis of signal chain. Supporting and running analyses with these tools. • Assist in developing the architecture on cloud infrastructures such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). Required Clearance: The position requires an active TS/SCI Clearance Work Location: The work is required to be performed in Pasadena CA Will be required to travel to another location approximately 3 - 4 times per year Education / Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or other related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of experience; or Masters in similar disciplines with a minimum of 3 years related experience, PhD with 1 year of related experience. This position requires a U.S. Citizen who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization

MANDATORY SKILLS

• Knowledge and experience in programming in Python and C++ in a Linux environment • Knowledge and experience developing scripts in Python or Bash to automate tasks in a Linux environment • Understanding and application of standard software engineering principles, most notably with respect to unit and regressing testing • Strong written and verbal communication skills • The ability to work in a team environment as an integral part of a larger team • Ability and willingness to learn new software techniques and mathematical algorithms

OPTIONAL SKILLS

• Experience with AWS • Experience using Git • Knowledge and experience with Agile software development • Familiarly with DevOps and/or DataOps • Familiarly with dask or like scientific data processing pipeline • Knowledge and experience with MATLAB • Familiarly with Anaconda and coda environments • Knowledge and experience with developing models for scientific computing specifically in the area of imaging sensors and image processing • Experience working as part of a larger team to turn prototype algorithms into delivered software products • Experience with software build process using CMake in a Linux environment • Knowledge and understanding of the concepts of large-volume data processing
