Jada Systems Inc is looking for two Oracle DBA Analysts to work with the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety. This is a remote position.
Position Description:
LADBS has a need for an Oracle OBA to support the Department's database systems for permitting, inspection, and related programs. The duties include performing technical and administrative work in the support, maintenance, design, development, and implementation of Oracle and MongoDB database systems. The primary database used by LADBS is Oracle. The position is expected to monitor daily jobs, troubleshoot errors, resolve problems, create database views, implement stored procedures, and optimizing PL/SQL functions and procedures. LADBS has an SAP and Tableau reporting environment. The Oracle DBA will be expected to assist with the underlying SQL queries and the creation of database views for use in this reporting environment. LADBS currently supports both on-premise and in the cloud environments
Responsibilities:
1. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve errors with the LADBS Oracle and MongoDB database systems ;
2. Deploy and monitor Oracle PL/SQL functions and procedures;
3. Provide project documentation and information as needed;
4. Assist in design discussions for the creation of new database systems;
5. Enforce accepted LADBS and industry standards for security and optimization;
6. Assist LADBS staff in updating the Department's applications during production deployments;
7. Ensure information systems standards are implemented and enforced to maintain the integrity of the applications;
8. Follow the directions of LADBS staff;
9. Coordinate and effectively interact with the LADBS Systems staff;
10. Provide production support in mission critical applications; and, Other related tasks identified by LADBS.
Experience:
The qualified candidate must possess the following skills and experience:
• 4+ years of experience supporting Oracle databases.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL and Stored Procedures.
• 1+ years of experience supporting MongoDB databases.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to work independently in a team environment.
