ABOUT THE POSITION
The Maintenance Manager oversees and leads all maintenance activities, including but not limited to: coordinating and supervising the work of technical maintenance associates, analyzing and executing equipment and building maintenance, managing equipment installation and maintenance, and, is an active member of the safety leadership team ensuring compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures. Works under limited supervision and reports to Chief Operating Officer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manages and trains associates in the maintenance department • Conducts performance evaluations per the documented schedule • Ensures maintenance team is compliant with the documented company handbook • Responsible for leasehold improvements and overall building maintenance, which includes regular inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues • Responsible for managing the maintenance schedule and executing the equipment repair as well as installation of new equipment/machines/processes • Active participant in the company health & safety leadership team: includes attending required team meetings, assisting the leadership team with documenting processes, driving results on action items, and ensuring compliance with all company safety processes • Maintains and ensures accuracy of the preventative maintenance system • Purchases maintenance/factory supplies and monitors spend accordingly • Builds and maintains long-term relationships with third party suppliers • Schedules delivery of maintenance materials, supplies, and equipment • Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers • Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Highly competent in required job skills and knowledge – solid understanding of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems; strong knowledge of manufacturing machines and equipment • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and leadership abilities • Strong problem-solving, time-management, and planning/organization abilities • Ability to perform tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency • Proficiency with preventative maintenance systems • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook) • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) • Experience: 5+ years of related experience
HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field Experience: 3+ years of supervisory experience, including performance management responsibilities • Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM)
