    Job Description

    TERRITORY SALES EXECUTIVE | JOB DESCRIPTION The goal of the Territory Sales Executive is to build, enhance and nurture customer relationships to secure customer loyalty and increase business through direct sales and dealer distribution in the Agriculture Equipment space, particularly for Dairy farms.  The duties of the role include:

    • This person must act as the consultant in order to provide relevant product knowledge to the customer.
    • Provide sales support for dealers in assigned territory including customer meetings and coaching on processes
    • Persuasively explain to customers and prospective customers how company’s products and services can increase productivity of their operations
    • Support dealer development strategy and implement in assigned territory
    • Provide customer training as required
    • Keep up to date with information about product and service innovations changing needs of customers, market conditions and competitors and adjusts sales strategy accordingly.
    • Analyzes sales data, prepares reports and carries out other administrative duties associated with sales forecasts.
    • Collaborate with Product management opportunities for new product or product improvements
    • Participate in appropriate National, Regional or local tradeshows, conferences or fairs

    • Knowledge of dealers and distribution channels
    • Skills in interpersonal communications, negotiation and conflict resolution
    • Research, maintain knowledge of and communicate status of agriculture market
    • Understanding of systems that support sales, marketing and product development
    • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects

    Education – Formal education or training required to perform essential job functions. May include degrees, certifications, licenses and/or registrations. • Degree in Agriculture disciplines or relevant work experience • Degree in Business/Management discipline or relevant work experience Relevant Work Experience: • Sales experience, territory management, dealer/distributor development, product management, customer support experience, marketing, customer acquisition experience is beneficial.
