PARTS DEPARTMENT ASSISTANT

SUMMARY
The Parts Department Assistant provides support to the Department in the capacity as outlined below.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Driver’s License
- Clean DMV
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma (Preferred)
- Assists the Shipping and Receiving Clerk in their daily duties and responsibilities
- Assists the Parts Countermen in their daily duties and responsibilities
- Ensures that parts area is kept neat and clean, and back area is neat and clean.
- Helps Parts stocking
- Answers phone calls, helping customer and providing basic information.
- Assist with pulling and filling orders from stock
- Assist with filling orders from service technicians and service advisors.
- Accept and follow through on lawful directions from supervisors.
- Prepare the product for presentation on the showroom floor.
- Assist with periodic perpetual parts inventory
- Assist with communication of parts availability to Service Advisors
- Assist with keeping orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
- Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick up.
- Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
- Participates in all training programs that are made available.
- Keeps current on new products and product updates.
- Daily attendance is essential.
- Assist with Body Shop Orders
- Assist with following up on back ordered parts
- Replenishes inventory from overstock as needed.
- Other Duties as assigned
