JAKKS Pacific, Inc., a leading designer and marketer of toys and consumer products, with a wide range of products that feature some of the most popular brands and children's toy licenses in the world, currently seeks an experienced, energetic, self-starter for the role of BRAND MANAGER, MARKETING to work remotely until the full re-opening of Jakk’s Santa Monica office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Director of Marketing in setting the brand strategy, creating and executing the respective marketing plans and overseeing the development of licensed toy products.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Manage and execute marketing initiatives/strategies as set out in the brand strategic outline including all facets of advertising, retail/channel marketing, pricing initiatives, channel distribution strategies, sales support, promotions, and events for product lines
- Work with the Director of Marketing to establish overall brand strategies, line plans and marketing initiatives for approval from both Jakks management and Licensor, Disney
- Work with cross-functional teams (Costing, Design, Planning, Packaging, Sales) to develop compelling and profitable product lines, which meets licensor’s approval, hit target costs and adhere to schedule
- Assist with the creation of retail-specific programs and exclusives; tailoring product lines and marketing strategies to maximize business across channels (Mass, Online, Club, Value, Alternative Channels)
- Professionally interface with licensor on regular basis, ensuring all product and marketing plans are in adherence to brand standards and are on strategy.
- Provide key information & analysis to licensor on an ongoing basis to keep a positive communication flow between teams
- Support retail sales team to maximize sell in and sell-through during entire product life cycle by providing all necessary information and materials; inclusive of product samples, presentation decks, digital photography and video assets and required retailer-specific information
- Take ownership of the business by managing communication tools such as line lists, presentation decks and internal product database
- Analyze and provide category, consumer, competitor, customer and product-specific insights, trends and market research in support of brand strategies
- Track and analyze sales performance of product lines to identify growth opportunities
- Writing effective and compelling packaging and online copy based product and segment communication strategies, positioning, play pattern and key product features
- Serve as internal brand champion for product lines and manage, coordinate and attend tradeshows & internal sales meetings

REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-5 years of experience working in the toy, consumer products, retail or brand marketing field
- Strategic thinking skills coupled with the ability to tactically execute plans
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A positive, “can do” attitude
- Resourceful; able to self start and get things accomplished with minimal oversight
- A collaborative, team-oriented working style
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Highly organized and able to multitask
- Strong computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, etc.
