    We’re looking for dedicated team members to join Orange County’s largest nonprofit developer of high quality affordable housing and services that transform lives and strengthen communities.

    Location: Irvine, CA

    Status: Hourly, Full-Time

    PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: 

    The AP Specialist is responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, applicable reporting, W9/1099s maintenance and assist with other projects as needed. 

    MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: 

    • Administers accounts payable for all entities: Review, code and enter invoices. Issue checks weekly, monthly and as needed. Open, sort and distribute mail for accounting department 

    • Processes monthly credit card statements and posts entries  

    • Obtains W9s from new vendors, updates W9 listing spreadsheet and prepares 1099s annually 

    • Manages general ledger maintenance of books for all sole member LLCs (including AR, AP, Bank Recs) 

    • Other duties as assigned; above duties may change in frequency and scope depending on business need

     

    LEVEL OF EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL SET: 

    • Proficient in Intacct, Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet 

    • Skilled at performing multiple tasks simultaneously 

    • Bachelor’s degree (accounting or financial management) or equivalent  

    • 1-3 years of experience 

    • Analytical and detail-oriented; strong organization and communication skills 

    • CA driver’s license and current automobile insurance

     

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  

    The AP Specialist is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hand and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, twist, lean, move from one location to another and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision. Ability to operate a computer keyboard, and lift files nd reports. Exposure to glare from a computer.

     Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to lift 25lbs. and travel via automobile 10%. 

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

    The work environment will usually be in a professional office setting, with possible shared workspace. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
