    Position Summary:

    Performs dives in a compressed air environment. This position is performed by certified commercial divers that support dive operations.

    This position will be performing work for clients that are requiring that all personnel be vaccinated for COVID. We only considering applications of individuals who are fully vaccinated.

    Ideal Candidate:


    Education, Certifications, License Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • Diploma from ADCE Compliant Commercial Dive School
    • Current ADCI Certification for the type of diving being performed
    • Current ADCI Compliant Dive Physical
    • Current First Aid, CPR, AED, Oxygen Administration Certifications
    • OSHA 10 Hour - Construction
    • Valid Driver’s License with current driving record free from serious or frequent violation

    Skills & Other Requirements:

    • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manor (verbal and written)
    • Able to read and understand heavy construction plans
    • Able to work in a team environment
    • Works well must work in a high demand environment
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards in crane operations
    • Must have a positive outlook and willingness to learn.

    Physical Demands/Working Environment:

    • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds, bend, stoop, and work safely around equipment, materials, supplies, and other items to be handled.
    • Ability to remain outdoors for long periods of time in various seasons and conditions.
    • Climb ladders, work at heights, walk and stand on uneven surfaces, ride, or work from a barge, pier, vessel, etc.
    • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, squat, push, pull, etc. for varying amounts of time.
    • Long hours and exposure to strenuous conditions
    • Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (day/night/weekend)
    • Must have good hand-eye coordination.
    • Must be able to hear adequately enough to receive and understand instructions, be alerted by horns, sirens, shouting, or any other noise that is meant to convey a safety warning.
    • Lift arms above shoulder level (i.e. lifts items into a truck or overhead area).
    • Climb ladders or steps to reach objects.
    • Must be able to work at heights of up to 50’ or more.
    • Must be able to work in confined or enclosed spaces.
    • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
    • Must be able to wear a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed boots, or other applicable PPE.
    • Must be able to walk moderated distances to reach work area (1/2 mile or more).
    • Ability to travel and work for many weeks at a time away from home.

    Responsibilities:


    • Performs inspections with video documentation
    • Operates hand and power tools
    • Performs wet or dry burning/welding operations
    • Performs wet or dry pneumatic/hydraulic tool operations
    • Other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications
    • Professional experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred
    • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends and holidays
    • Strong communication (verbal and written)
    • Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems and independently take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time
    • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems, gas systems, liquid propane, boilers and refrigeration
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

    Requirements for Level 2:

    • Trained in forklift operation ****
    • Demonstrates basic knowledge of mechanical equipment repair.
    • Able to complete all preventative maintenance tasks
    • Able to create a notification in SAP
    • Able to locate parts in SAP
    • Demonstrates a high level of communication, cooperation and teamwork
    • CPR/First aid certified.
    • Basic tig, stick, wire welding. Plasma and acetylene cutting.
    • Able to troubleshoot and overhaul a centrifugal pump.
    • Understanding of MCC room layouts
    • Able to troubleshoot/replace motor control starters
    • Able to troubleshoot/replace relays and solenoids
    • Able to laser align anything coupled or pulley driven
    • Able to troubleshoot and wire a 3-phase motor.
    • Able to troubleshoot and repair 110v and 24v control wiring.
    • Eligible to achieve skill level 3 after a minimum of one year at skill level 2.
