Job Summary

We’re looking to hire a hard-working and dependable Janitor who can maintain the cleanliness and safety of our building. This part-time evening position requires someone who takes pride in their work and can work independently with minimal supervision.

You will be responsible for maintaining restrooms, the main lobby, and office areas, ensuring all spaces remain clean, sanitized, and presentable. In addition to routine cleaning duties such as vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing restrooms, you may assist with light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and removing trash. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, experience with cleaning equipment and supplies, and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

General Cleaning Duties:

Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the building

Vacuum carpets and rugs

Sweep and mop floors

Operate floor scrubber as needed

Dust furniture and wipe down tables, desks, and countertops

Empty trash cans and remove trash from the premises

Restrooms

Sweep and mop floors

Scrub and sanitize toilets, sinks, and fixtures

Clean mirrors and glass surfaces

Refill toilet paper and paper towel dispensers

Ensure restrooms are fully stocked and sanitary

Additional Duties

Ensure cleaning supplies are properly stored and maintained

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

At least 1 year of experience in janitorial services preferred

Valid Social Security number required

Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite

Must be able to pass a background check

Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and equipment

Excellent stamina and physical health

Strong work ethic with high attention to detail

Ability to work independently and efficiently
