NEEDED: JANITOR
 LOCATION: Fayetteville, AR

 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers, 
 
- Maintain positive and effective working relationships with City employees, 
 
- Have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive. 
 
- Responsible for helping to maintain a clean and healthful environment for employees and citizens of the City of Fayetteville. 
 
- Empty trash containers. 
 
- Dust windowsills, blinds, horizontal and vertical surfaces and clean interior windows. 
 
- Test new cleaning supplies for effectiveness. 
 
- Clean interior and exterior glass. 
 
- Sweep, mop and vacuum floors, including under furniture. 
 
- Replace burned out lights. 
 
- Spot clean walls. 
 
- Buff floors as needed. 
 
- Clean parking lots. 
 
- Clean restrooms and ensure supplies are readily available. 
 
- Perform other duties as assigned.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED is required and one year of related experience. 
 
- Must successfully pass criminal background check, including but not limited to convictions, guilty pleas, or no contest pleas to violent offenses, theft offenses and any offense under A.C.A. 21-15-103. 
 
- Effectively communicate with others orally and in writing. 
 
- Must have the ability to operate general cleaning equipment as well as floor buffer. 
 
- While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
 
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. 
 
- Vision abilities to perform essential functions. 
 
- While performing the functions of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions.
