Kennesaw State University is seeking dependable and hardworking Utility Workers to support daily dining hall operations. This position is essential to maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and efficiency within the dining facilities while supporting food service staff and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for the campus community.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 9am-5pm $13/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dining, and service areas

• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, pots, and kitchen equipment

• Operate dishwashing machines and properly store clean items

• Empty trash, recycling, and compost in designated areas

• Clean floors, walls, workstations, and food service equipment

• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food and supply deliveries

• Support food service staff with setup, breakdown, and restocking as needed

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations

• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and properly

• Report maintenance, safety concerns, or equipment issues to supervisors

• Comply with university policies, procedures, and attendance requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced dining environment

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

• Strong attention to cleanliness and safety

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous utility, janitorial, or food service experience

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

• Experience working in a university or institutional dining setting
