Job description:

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.

Maintain floors through regular care, including buffing and waxing as needed.

Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and well-maintained at all times.

Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies.

Conduct minor maintenance tasks to ensure facilities are in good working condition.

Assist with industrial cleaning duties as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Collaborate with team members to complete larger cleaning projects efficiently.

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.

Skills

Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred.

Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment operation.

Familiarity with floor care procedures including buffing and waxing.

Experience in residential painting is a plus.

Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks safely and effectively.

Basic facilities maintenance skills are advantageous.

Porter experience is beneficial for managing high traffic areas effectively.

Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
