Your annual base salary of $54,054.00

POSITION SUMMARY
1\. Independently and with minimal supervision provide the day-to-day supervision of assigned janitorial employees and work locations.
2\. This includes the direct supervision of all janitorial site lead workers and janitorial employees, as well as their initial and on-going training.
3\. Ensures adequate coverage and coordination is provided to complete all contractual requirements and all other assigned tasks. Maintain the quality of all work performed as well as the safety of all employees.
4\. Responsible for input to the janitorial Operations Manager on matters regarding, employee related issues, training needs, budgetary preparation, site quality issues, overtime reduction, and compliance with contractual obligations, employee accountability, long range planning, and other matters as requested.
5\. Supervisor will provide consistent supervision of cleaning staff and quality oversite of assigned locations.
JOB SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
1\. Must be able to pass criminal background check allowing entry into all buildings serviced by the janitorial division.
2\. Excellent supervisory and communication skills (verbal and written).
3\. Must be able to prioritize work tasks ensuring quality work and maintaining a high level of customer service.
4\. Ability to follow instructions and make decisions consistent with existing policies and procedures.
5\. Ability to actively participate in team development and team oriented processes, and motivate others to do so as well.
6\. Ability to use computer hardware and software.
7\. Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of current vehicle insurance.
8\. Physical ability to bend, twist, climbs stairs, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead. Must be able to push/pull up to 50 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.
9\. Physical ability to operate various types of janitorial equipment.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in general janitorial services.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years supervisory or leadership experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
1\. Direct Leadership and supervision of assigned leads and janitors on their assigned locations and facilities.
2\. Responsible for promoting good work habits and ensuring deficiencies in performance are corrected in a manner which results in positive and sustainable outcomes.
3\. Models’ effective leadership skills for lead workers and assists them in establishing good practices with regards to daily work quality.
4\. Assists in coverage of absences and leaves, provides recommendations for pay increases for employees, job changes, job reassignments, training, and disciplinary action.
5\. Communicates with Staff and Customers in a proactive manner via emails and during regular visitations to the facility location. Providing actionable Quality Assurance and Service Reports to resolve cleaning concerns and overall issues.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1\. Provides supervision and assistance to all workers to ensure all work is completed in a timely manner.
2\. Prepares yearly performance reviews for janitors under their supervision, accessing their overall work and focusing on areas of improvement.
3\. Prepare written documentation regarding safety concerns, employee performance issues and building safety information.
4\. Ensures proper utilization of personnel in scheduling sick and vacation time, regularly scheduled services to provide overall quality and optimum efficiency.
5\. Ensures that all work performed meets the contractual requirements of each site with emphasis placed on maintaining the quality of all tasks performed.
6\. Trains, Assists & Supports lead workers in dealing with issues involving personnel, site security, specific tasks, and other situations that may occur.
7\. Contacts site representatives as required when problem issues arise, this will involve daytime visits with customers to check on service levels and address concerns.
8\. Assists janitorial management in reducing operational costs, which includes but is not limited to: reduction in overtime and utilizing temporary labor.
9\. Trains Janitorial employees and lead workers in proper cleaning techniques, processes and their continued education in janitorial cleaning.
10\. Complies with all local, State and Federal regulations; to include ADA, BOLI, FLSA, and OSHA.
11\. Fills in for lead workers as required to ensure adequate coverage is available so that all work is accomplished.
12\. Attends meetings and participates on teams/committees as assigned and works to achieve deadlines on projects, meetings and company goals.
13\. Provides input for developing and coordinating workflow and processes to create integrated employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
14\. Monitors supplies usage in order to assure cost effectiveness, which may include providing/ordering addition products and ensuring sites aren’t overstocked beyond their needs.
15\. Interfaces with other departments in the company as required, to complete tasks and/or assignments
16\. Assists management with Timekeeping for employees.
17\. Ensures that all site janitorial closets are maintained in a neat and orderly manner. They are organized, clean, all chemicals are properly labeled, and equipment is repaired.
18\. Ensures that SDS books are available at each site, and that they are kept up to date.
19\. Ensures that current customer specifications are accessible to lead workers for each site.
20\. Ensures that each contract and location has the following available and employees are trained to: customer’s scope of work, quality assurance reports, supply order forms, cleaning checklists and any other necessary paper work for each contract.
1) Ensures that site log books are maintained and utilized.
2) Maintains current periodic cleaning calendar for all contracts.
3) Orders supplies for locations in a timely and organized matter.
4) Performs regular site quality walkthroughs and assures that no less than 1 written QA is completed for each site monthly.
21\. Ensures that emergency contacts are available for each lead worker and each second shift employee.
22\. Maintains and ensure work vehicles are cleaned and maintained in a clean manner and coordinates with the fleet manager to complete regularly scheduled maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, etc.)
23\. Responds to management and customer concerns in a timely matter usually within the hour.
24\. Available for off hour’s emergency calls and assignments as needed from SCS Management and employees under their supervision.
25\. Performs other related tasks as assigned.
