Japanese / English Bilingual Production Assistant
Job Description:
Seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Japanese/English Bilingual Production Assistant to support daily operations in our manufacturing department. This role works directly with the Production Team Lead and Supervisor to ensure smooth and efficient workflows, help prepare materials, maintain safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. The Production Assistant will also support basic administrative tasks, equipment handling, and cross-department coordination when necessary.

Responsibilities:
Assist in assembly, packaging, and inspection of products.
Operate basic machinery and tools as needed.
Monitor product quality and report and defects.
Follow safety guidelines and standard operation procedures.
Support inventory management and material handling.
Support production activities by preparing tools, materials, and documentation
Assist the Production Team Lead and Supervisor in organizing workflows
Monitor and report production progress and issues (e.g., delays, material shortages)
Help with the onboarding and training of new production staff
Conduct quality checks and flag any nonconformities
Maintain production records and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures
Keep work areas clean, organized, and in line with 5S standards
Operate office and production equipment as needed (e.g., for documentation or communication tasks)
Help transport tools, materials, or documents between departments
Provide general clerical and logistical support to production management
Respond to requests from team members to ensure daily goals are met
Perform additional duties as assigned in a dynamic manufacturing environment
Qualifications:
MUST be Japanese/English Bilingual
Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Experience with weld assemblies or automotive production preferred
Familiarity with safety standards and quality control processes
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
Basic knowledge of production equipment is a plus
Physical ability to stand for long period and lift moderate weights.
