Job Description

Established CPA firm needs a professional, motivated, and experienced audit associate to join our team. Applicants should have 1-2 years’ experience. Must be punctual, well-spoken and positive, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments.

Position requires direct interaction with clients, so good communication skills and an ability to effectively work with others will be a critical characteristic of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Moving audits through the process from the beginning of an engagement or project through completion.
• Administration of audits, monitoring job progress, early issue identification and resolution.

Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant license or working towards the requisite requirements to obtain CPA licensure.
• 1-2 years recent audit experience within another CPA firm.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, applying those principles to client transactions and documenting and communicating an understanding of those principles as evidenced by advanced technical knowledge in one or more areas of GAAP.
• Have a knowledge of professional standards, application of the principles contained in professional standards as evidenced by an ability/experience teaching others GAAS procedures and providing guidance to others and affirm conclusions made by others.
• Professionally communicate audit documentation requests and audit results (both orally and in written form) with team and clients.
• Prepare/Review financial statements and disclosures.
• Proficient with use of office technology and software.
• Highly motivated and takes initiative for professional growth and development.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
