Job Description

SUMMARY

Receives, stores, and issues all production tools such as machine tools, dies, fixtures and equipment in industrial establishment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Issues and delivers tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned in a timely manner to support production needs.
• Operate hi-lo and utility truck
• Tracks tools and equipment throughout the facility
• Maintains perpetual inventory of tool control and tooling at warehouse
• Receives, unpacks and stores incoming tools and equipment. Ensures all equipment is clean and in good working condition prior to issuing to production and prior to issuing back into tool controls designated location
• Properly marks and identifies tools and equipment
• Assists in tracking and reporting scrap
• Maintains tool card system for facility
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of tool control area and warehouse

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and possess strong communication skills.
• Able to operate hi-lo, utility truck; Licenses preferred.
• Prior experience with tool control, inventory or materials management.
• Previous manufacturing experience required.
